Outlook Integration enables end-users to access their own emails in the archive directly from their desktop. This feature even lets end-users rebuild their mailstore when emails are lost.

Search Plug-In
With the Outlook integration feature, Outlook users can access the TEAL archive from their Outlook Client. End users can use this plug-in search feature to access their emails in the TEAL archive.
Simply enter a mininum of three characters to initiate a search and press the search icon. This search feature is designed for use by individual users that are searching their own emails. As such, searches are limited to a maximum of 1,000 items to ensure that the search results sent back from the TEAL archive do not create overload on the network. More complex searches like those that might be used for financial services supervision or litigation support will be done through the TEAL web access portal.

TEAL has been designed from the ground up as a large scale email content manangement system, rather than a document manangement system with an email add-on. As a result it can scale to store billions of emails across a single logical archive, with storage spread across any number of physical locations.
Security
TEAL provides a highly costumisable security model, with integration into company directories (LDAP, Active Directory) to provide single-sign on and group/divisional level manangement of archive access permissions.
Auditing
All accesses to the archive are subject to TEAL's auditing module that can track all user email searching and retreival. Administrators can searc the audit logs or setup audit triggers to alert them to particular audit event conditions.
Collaboration
Lock user views of the archive to their individual email accounts or use TEAL's Collaboration Manager to define shared views of the archive that transcend across mulitple email accounts. There views can be based on any quiery criteria to define powerful collaborative cross-sections of the archive that different users and groups can access.
Encryption
TEAL allows for email content stored in the archive to be encrypted to protect the archive's content even from system administrators managing the installation. TEAL also fully support importing encrypted email, using a locally mananged key-store to decrypt imported emails.
Search Everything
Emails in TEAL can be searched across a wide variety of criteria, including all header infromation and full-text word searching of email content including popular attachment formats such as Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF documents. Recursively will index the contents of zipped attachements.
Bundling
Emails content need to be transported outside of the archive. TEAL's Bundling feature allows for email search results to be exported into a portable, self-executable bundle for downloading and storage external to the TEAL installation. Bundles can be encrypted, requiring a user-supplied password to unlock. With storage spread across any number of physical locations.
Interoperable
TEAL is deployable on a range of operating systems and interoperates with major enterprise IT infrastructure.

Variable Retention
Companies have the ability to mark individual emails for different retention periods based on policies. Email characterisitics such as domain and content drive the policies. A general policy is set in the absence of a specific retention policy. When emails are retrieved the length of the time remain for each email is shown on the email display line.
